What is the long chain attached to some of my sea monkeys?

Question by hrtsnstrs: What is the long chain attached to some of my sea monkeys?
Some of my sea monkeys have something like a chain of tiny units attached to them. One of them has a really long chain. I thought it could be eggs, but supposedly sea monkey eggs are carrying like a pouch near the stomach – not a in a chain attached to the sea monkey. I couldn’t find anything easily / immediately on google about it. What are these chains?

Im not really sure. Had sea monkey but that was years ago. Maybe this site will answer your question.

i have the type of chain that in this picture has! once it opened and fell but i found it and another time it opened and the dog tag fell and i couldnt find the dog tag but the chain i found!!!

is there any way to prevent this??? exept glue
